Cleve Farm, Somerset

Bristol Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards 2022/23

Located in the Blackdown Hills, near the Somerset/Devon border, Cleve Farm offers two luxurious self-catering holiday cottages, the Stables and the Byre, where you have the benefits of comfortable living while being close to nature.

Each self-catering cottage has been furnished with your comfort in mind and is surrounded by peaceful countryside with outstanding views. Relax and enjoy your time in an all-season setting in Somerset. The location offers a perfect base for romantic breaks, peaceful getaways or country walks and is great as a base for exploring Dorset and Devon too. You could book a single cottage, or book both cottages exclusively if visiting with family and friends.

About Us

Deep in the Blackdown Hills, Cleve Farm sits within 24 acres of pasture and woodland within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

We (Behjat and Paul) moved to the farm after falling in love with the area.

We invite our guests to share the connection we feel with the farm and the natural rustic beauty of the Blackdowns. The setting will provide the backdrop to a peaceful and relaxing stay and we are pleased to say that our guests agree.

Our Cottages

The Stables was converted in 2018 to a luxurious holiday cottage, built and furnished with providing the most comfortable and relaxing holiday accommodation in mind. The original building was a set of stables in parts dating back a couple of centuries. The combination of old and new styles with the comfort of modern facilities has given the Stables its charm and uniqueness.

The Byre was converted to a holiday cottage recently, in 2024, with the same love and attention to detail that has helped give the Stables its success.

The Farm

Cleve Farm is in a genuinely rural and remote location with local amenities 1.8 miles away (Churchinford) and at 3.7 miles (Hemyock). The farm is approximately 10 miles from each of the towns of Taunton, Wellington and Honiton. Many supermarkets (including Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons) will deliver. Our location is ideally situated for walks around the Blackdowns and is a great base for day trips to the seaside (40 minutes to Seaton/Beer) and further afield in Somerset, Dorset and Devon too. The farm is a 20 minute drive from M5 Junction 25 or approximately 12 minutes from the A303.

Please feel free to contact us at stay@gocountryside.uk or telephone 07375 077551 to discuss any specific requirements.
